joined Cancable in December, 2001 after several years in the cabling industry; most notably as President of Cablenet,
Managing Director of Videotron, Executive Vice President for Cableworks Communications and Chief Operating Officer
of IT Canada. With over 25 years of local, national and international management experience in Operations and Business
Development, Ross has a keen ability to capitalize on emerging trends and value-adds to existing services. A true visionary
and engaging leader, Ross is an integral part of the Dependable HomeTech success story and continues to lead the way as
the company grows and diversifies.
MARK THOMPSON
CFO/VP of Finance & Administration
brings a unique blend of Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology expertise to the team. With over 10 years
of technology & field service related industry experience, Mark has held a wide variety of Finance and Operations Support
roles that span large corporations, entrepreneurial/consulting companies, and mid-size "turn-around" organizations. He
has been instrumental in leveraging the synergies created through the teaming of Finance, HR and IT, to deliver best in
class Operational and Administrative Support services and technologies to the customer facing teams.
Paul Saabas MBA
President, Dependable Home Support Services
has sales and operational management experience with a wide range of companies, including cable services (Rogers Cable)
and security products and services (Honeywell Ltd.). Most recently, as a principal of PMJ Consulting, his clients included
Bell New Ventures, the group created in 2006 by Bell Canada, Canada's largest communications provider, to initiate new products
and services based on Bell Canada's wireless, Internet, voice and web-based capabilities. Paul's current responsibilities
include overseeing the Dependable HomeTech initiative, rolling-out product and service lines led by a suite of video surveillance
products and services for residential and small business customers.
Robert R. Newell
Senior Vice President, US Operations
joined Cancable in October 2007. As co-founder, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Business Development Officer of 180
Connect Inc., a national cable and satellite fulfillment service, based in Denver, CO., he helped grow the company
to $300 million in annual revenues. Bob has particular expertise in start-up, turnaround and integration of acquired
companies and his addition to the Cancable team significantly improves our capability to execute on our U.S. expansion strategy.
Steve Skrlac, CFA, MBA
Vice President Sales and Business Development
joined the Cancable group in February 2008 and brings with him both a marketing & finance background in the telecommunications,
home service, and business fields. He was working for Mountain Cablevision for the past 4 years in a senior leadership
position and was with Bell Canada for the 4 years prior to this. He is responsible for the sales planning and field
execution initiative for Dependable HomeTech.
Cheryl Lewis
Director of Dependable HomeTech Services
leads the Operational and Business Development for Dependable HomeTech's Technology division. Prior to joining
Cancable in 1997, Cheryl spent 10 years in the Hospitality industry, gaining a wealth of knowledge in Sales and
Customer Service. Throughout her career with Dependable HomeTech she has been involved in the operations of our
field services team, as well as Customer Service for both Ontario and US Operations, and is currently responsible
for all Operations and growth initiatives.
